The Embrace of a Gaze: Diego Oliver and an Intimate Portrait of Our Roots

The Embrace of a Gaze: Diego Oliver and an Intimate Portrait of Our Roots

We share with you an intimate chapter of our story: where motherhood, leadership, and creativity coexist in harmony.

At AGUSTINA, being a mother and being an entrepreneur are not opposing roles. They are complementary expressions of the same vision. We founded the brand 12 years ago as an extension of our family roots, with the deep conviction that example is the greatest inheritance. Our children have grown up among fabrics, communities, and ancestral knowledge. They have seen how a brand is built… but above all, how a legacy is built in community.

Sustaining both a family and a business has been an intimate act, full of purpose. Being a guiding light for our loved ones has given us the light to move forward.

That light—that essence—was captured with subtlety and beauty by Diego Oliver, a Lima-based photographer and journalist with an outstanding international trajectory. Educated at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, his career has been shaped by a strong documentary approach. His work has been recognized by institutions such as the Humanity Photo Awards, EFTI in Madrid, the Experiments in Cinema Festival in the United States, and the International Center of Photography in New York, where he was awarded the Jan Mulder Scholarship.

In 2024, he founded Estudio Diego Oliver, a space from which he explores new visual languages—family, children’s, fashion, and art portraiture—always guided by a cinematic and painterly sensibility. For Diego, a photo session is a shared hunt with those being portrayed: an act of genuine connection where light, clothing, posture, and attitude align to reveal that singular moment.

Thank you, Diego, for portraying such a personal chapter of our journey; for your professionalism, your patience, and the warmth with which you connect with children and with the stories behind each garment. Your images do more than portray—they reveal.

And thank you as well to all the women who, like us, are a beacon, a refuge, and the driving force of their families.
