LESLY MOALE
Lesly Moale is a Peruvian entrepreneur and cultural promoter, widely recognized for her work in preserving and promoting the ancestral art of natural dyeing. Born into a family with roots in Tsachopen, Chontabamba (Oxapampa, Pasco), she grew up surrounded by traditions that shaped her professional path. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae (UCSS), where she began developing her vision of an ethnic fashion project inspired by her heritage.
Together with her family, she leads an enterprise with more than three decades of experience dedicated to the artisanal dyeing of fabrics, using only natural elements such as bark, flowers, fruits, leaves, and peels. The technique, refined over generations, ensures that colors are fixed with natural mordants such as lemon, alum, and salt, guaranteeing durability and vibrancy in every creation.
Her work has been showcased at national handicraft fairs and has received support from institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru and the Municipality of Barranco, participating in events such as the 2024 National Handicraft Fair “Arte Nativa.” From Lima and her community in Oxapampa, Lesly manages the logistics and sales of her products, skillfully combining family tradition with contemporary market tools.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Lesly Moale conveys a message of pride in cultural identity and the importance of safeguarding ancestral heritage through art. Her career embodies professionalism, innovation, and rootedness, demonstrating that passion and commitment are essential to building a life around what one truly loves.
