Lesly Moale is a Peruvian entrepreneur and cultural promoter recognized for her work in preserving and elevating the ancestral art of natural dyeing. Born into a family with roots in Tsachopen, within the district of Chontabamba (Oxapampa, Pasco), she grew up immersed in traditions that deeply influenced her creative and professional path.

She holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae (UCSS), where she began shaping her vision of an ethnic fashion project grounded in heritage, identity, and sustainability. This academic foundation allowed her to bridge traditional knowledge with contemporary business strategies, strengthening the impact and reach of her work.

Together with her family, Lesly leads an enterprise with more than three decades of experience dedicated to the artisanal dyeing of textiles using exclusively natural resources. Their process relies on elements such as bark, flowers, fruits, leaves, and peels, carefully selected and transformed through knowledge passed down across generations.

The dyeing techniques are complemented by the use of natural mordants—such as lemon, alum, and salt—which ensure the fixation, durability, and richness of each color. This approach not only guarantees high-quality results but also reflects a deep respect for nature and sustainable practices.

Her work has been presented in important national handicraft fairs and has received institutional support from organizations such as the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru and the Municipality of Barranco. She has participated in events such as the 2024 National Handicraft Fair “Arte Nativa,” positioning her work within a broader platform for cultural expression and innovation.

Operating between Lima and her community in Oxapampa, Lesly manages both the creative and commercial aspects of her work, overseeing production, logistics, and sales. This dual presence allows her to maintain a close connection to her roots while engaging actively with contemporary markets.

Beyond her role as an entrepreneur, Lesly Moale represents a voice of cultural pride and continuity. Through her work, she advocates for the preservation of ancestral knowledge and demonstrates how traditional practices can remain relevant in today’s world.

Her trajectory reflects a balance between professionalism, innovation, and deep cultural rootedness—proving that it is possible to build a meaningful and sustainable path by honoring what we inherit while shaping what comes next.

2025 - 2026 AIDER & NIIBIRI

The main objective is to promote the conservation of the Amazon forests, where families of native communities of the Shipibo Conibo and Cacataibo ethnic groups live, and to contribute to improving their quality of life.
We will achieve this by working hand in hand between NIIBIRI, AGUSTINA, and AIDER, in the development and co-creation of "Products with history", which come from a sustainable management of natural resources, through the Forestry Alliance initiative.
