THE GOICOCHEA FAMILY

 
The work of basketry in reed and totora has been declared cultural heritage of Peru, the basketry is the process of manual confection of containers known as baskets, as well as other objects, made from vegetable or synthetic fibers, woven or joined with the technique of winding with seam binding.

The renowned Goicochea family comes from Cajamarca, they have inherited this wonderful tradition for many generations rescuing one of the oldest ancestral techniques, working as a team, as a family for many years. They have seen this craft as a source of work and a way to express creativity and originality in their designs.
