AN INMERSIVE EXPERIENCE - FULL DAY
“In the Andes, every thread carries the memory of a land, a family, and a way of seeing the world.”
We invite you to experience this tradition alongside traditional weavers from Pacchanta, who keep Andean textile knowledge alive through alpaca fiber, spinning, and weaving.
We will explore the knowledge passed down from generation to generation, discovering the technique of the pushka, the weaving process, and the symbols that give meaning to each piece.
PACCHANTA
The Andean Textile Journey
Location: Pacchanta / Cusco
Altitude: 4,200 m.a.s.l
AMONG ALPACA FIBRES,
SACRED MOUNTAINS AND ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE
In the presence of
Ausangate, we journey to Pacchanta to meet a family of weavers and enter the world
of Andean textiles at its source.
We then gather around the
family table to share a meal with our hosts, followed by a moment to immerse
ourselves in the thermal springs of Pacchanta, surrounded by one of the Andes’
most extraordinary landscapes.
A day of intimate
cultural immersion, and the rare privilege of learning directly from those who
keep a living tradition alive.
